CREDITS AND CERTIFICATION

Following my research on film posters I noticed there is a section of writing that features on every film poster:

This is what I originally thought was briefly included:

______ Pictures Presents

A ______ Production

A Film By ______

'FILM NAME'

Followed by the six or seven most important actors' names in order of the importance of their roles.

Produced by ______

Written by ______

Directed by ______ (again, the director's name, the same as the "A Film By..." line).

Upon looking closer at a DVD at home, I read the text actually says e.g:
This was taken from a DVD, DISTURBIA

Dreamworks pictures presents in association with Cold Springs Pictures a Montecito Picture Company production 'Disturbia' Shia LaBeouf  David Morse  Sarah Roemer and Carrie-Anne Moss  casting by Deborah Aquila csa and Tricia Wood csa  music by Geoff Zanlli  costume designer  Marie-Sylvie Devaeu  edited by Jim Page  production designer Tom Southwell  director of photography RogierStoffers nsc  executive producers Ivan Reitman Tom Pollock  produced by Joe Medjuck E.Bennett Walsk Jakie Marcus story by Christopher Landon screenplay by Christopher Landon and Carl Ellsworth directed by D.J.Caruso

However on a DVD or film poster it is presented like this:

DREAMWORKS PICTURESPRESENTS IN ASSOCIATION WITHCOLDSPRINGS PICTURES  A MONTECITO PICTURE COMPANY PRODUCTION 'DISTURBIA' SHIA LABEOUF  DAVID MORSE  SARAH ROEMER AND CARRIE-ANNE MOSS  CASTING BY DEBORAH AQUILA, CSA AND TRICIA MOOD, CSA  MUSIC BY GEOFF ZANELLI COSTUME DESIGNER MARIE-SYLVIE DEVEAU EDITED BY JIM PAGE PRODUCTION DESIGNER TOM SOUTHWELL DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY ROGIER STOFFERS, NSC EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS IVAN REITMAN  TOM POLLOCK PRODUCED BY JOE MEDJUCK E.BENNETT WALSH JACKIE MARCUS STORY BY CHRISTOPHER LANDON SCREENPLAY BY CHRISTOPHER LANDON AND CARL ELLSWORTH DIRECTED BY D.J.CARUSO

I used the font 'Birch Std' is in my Microsoft Word 2007 software. I used fonts sizes '12' for the larger fonts and '8' for the smaller.
I noticed that all the important names are in the larger font and that all lettering is in capital letters.
From this research it will make producing my film poster alot easier and of a higher quality as all these little touches make it look more professional.

I also noticed that there is a picture of the production company and certification logo:

As my trailer will be a 15 as this will make it viewable for my target audience of 15 - 18. I shall try to make my own certificate on publisher for my movie poster.

As you can see the production company is usually featured next to the 'credits' on the film poster.
Therefore I will be including my newly made production logo onto my film poster:
